Bench Staff Requirements by Division

Training and certification requirements for each position are outlined in this chart, set out by Ringette Ontario.

All bench staff requirements must be completed by November 30th of the current playing year to be eligible. Use these checklists to make sure you’ve met all the requirements for your position. If you have any questions about the requirements below, please contact the Coaching Coordinator.

Note: All divisions and levels must have at least one woman coach (18 years old and older) fully qualified for the coaching position they hold on the bench. Open divisions are exempt from this requirement. This must be a coach - trainer and junior helpers do not meet this requirement.

While only the trainer has to be fully qualified in first aid training, all teams require 1 fully qualified first aid bench staff on their bench at all times. Therefore it is recommended that all teams have a back-up.
